Smith’s is Looking For Artsy Bag Designs
More and more people are carrying their own reusable shopping bags into grocery stores. Maybe you do, too. They’re so popular that styles of reusable cloth bags are becoming somewhat competitive. Do you have an idea that would look great on an eco-bag? There’s a contest that might pay off for you.
Smith’s Food and Drug Stores is sponsoring a reusable bag design contest to encourage shoppers to go green all year long. The contest is on-line only - where you’ll sign up, then find all the elements to design an enviro-friendly bag with backgrounds, borders, text, and paint tools. You can even upload photos for your design.
The winner will be chosen by on-line voting. The top ten vote-getters will be narrowed down to one winner, who will be awarded a $1000 Smith’s gift card and have their design on reusable bags in Smith’s stores. Four finalists will get $250 gift cards and the remaining five will receive a $100 gift card. The contest runs until May 15th and all who enter will get a voucher for a free reusable bag, redeemed at any Smith’s store. So get your best bag design on right away!

This would be fun to do if site worked. I tried several times to register and while I know there is a Smiths here in Vegas close to me, the store locator said no store was found in 89121 and you can not register and design a bag without selecting your preferred store location. Maybe they will fix the problem, but it is frustrating when you can not just go ahead and proceed to design so you can enter.
Free bag credit is also uploaded on your Smith’s Rewards Card, so I do not know how people who do not have the card yet can get thier free bag…

I am competing but can’t seem to get into the top 10 when I have everyone I know and their friends voting for me. just wondering if it is legal for people to have their own website for this cometition. How can one person get over a few hundred votes a day?
